Map Your Property’s Future with Enhanced Climate Data 🌍
Flood zones, wildfire risk, climate zones, faults, wetlands, national forests, dams, seismic hazards, and more!
In November we announced an overhaul of the RealReports map and teased a bunch of forthcoming improvements.
Today we’re releasing the first of many map and data upgrades, this one centering around climate information. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s been added and why it matters to you and your clients:
Climate Zones: Understanding the climate of an area helps in assessing heating and cooling needs, potential energy costs, and lifestyle suitability.
Dams: Proximity to dams can influence property insurance rates, especially flood insurance, and affect resale value due to perceived risk.
National Forests: Properties near national forests might appeal to buyers seeking natural beauty and recreational opportunities, as well as potentially increasing property value.
Seismic Hazards and Faults: Identifying seismic risks helps in evaluating the necessity for structural reinforcements and influences insurance premiums.
Wetlands: Properties near wetlands are subject to specific regulations and can affect building permissions and property value.
Wildfire Risk: Awareness of wildfire risk is vital for safety measures, insurance costs, and deciding on suitable locations for buyers.
The new data is sourced from the Department of Energy (DOE), United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), United States Geological Survey (USGS), United States Forest Service (USFS), and California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CalOES).
Don’t forget, all this new information is in addition to our existing climate data which covers individual climate risks, historical disasters, flood zones/insurance details, average weather, and more. Plus everything is fed directly into our AI property advisor, Aiden, so you don’t need to be a climate expert–if you have a question, just ask Aiden.
